Low voltage transformers

Transformator 40-400 kVA T3T
Skyddskapsling IP21
3-fas lågspänningstransformator, typ T3T

Low voltage transformers are available in standard sizes up to 2000 kVA. For transformers up to 200 kVA we cooperate with our sister company Tramo ETV which conducts its manufacturing in Skåne, Sweden. They manufacture a wide range of transformer types to suit a variety of applications. Tramo ETV specializes in marine and heavy industry, but their strength also lies in handling special orders. With high flexibility and short lead times, they are a reliable partner for customized needs.

Major low voltage transformers are manufactured in Finland (Muuntosähkö) and Italy (Meth) respectively. These transformers are available for most applications and in enclosure classes up to IP65.

For special applications, we can also offer cast resin insulated and oil insulated low voltage transformers. These are manufactured in Italy in our main factory, GBE, which also produces our medium voltage transformers up to 36 kV.

We offer very robust and reliable transformers for most applications, such as industry, ships and railways. We also have transformers that are "earthquake tested" according to Forsmark class 6 and are supplied to the nuclear power industry, among others. Other major customers are the Swedish Transport Administration and SL. Also CSA- and UL-approved transformers in standard sizes.

Isolating transformers

An isolation transformer can also be referred to as an isolation transformer, isolation transformer and full transformer. It is used to galvanically isolate power supply units or sensitive appliances from the general electricity network through insulation between the input and output circuits. This provides protection against electric shocks, increasing electrical safety and minimizing the risk of electrical accidents. Isolating transformers are used in a wide range of applications, including marine environments, medical equipment and industrial facilities.

Isolating transformers also reduce disturbances from the grid, such as transients, current spikes, surges and harmonics. This reduction protects sensitive equipment and contributes to a significant increase in the lifetime of connected appliances, while providing a more efficient use of energy.

Interference suppression transformers

Interference suppression transformers are used to attenuate disturbances from the grid and as isolation transformers. The design achieves high attenuation of symmetrical and asymmetrical disturbances. The isolation state of the secondary network can be monitored by means of relays. Different monitoring systems are available depending on whether the network is earthed (Superintend VRE) or insulated, Superintend IM01.

The transformers have good attenuation of symmetrical and asymmetrical disturbances - about 80 dB for 3-phase transformers and 120 dB for 1-phase transformers.

The transformers are used to protect sensitive electronic equipment or priority power supplies from high-frequency disturbances, large earth currents and transients from the grid. Very short delivery times, even for special productions.
