The growing interest in a sustainable environment is nothing new for Unitrafo. For many years, we have tried to influence our customers to choose transformers with the lowest possible energy losses. As a result, today we almost exclusively sell environmentally friendly transformers.
Now we take it a step further and introduce E-Dry®, a new series of transformers with extremely low fire load*, which makes them ideal for installations where high fire safety and a safe environment are important parameters.
Another great advantage of these transformers is that they are in principle 100% recyclable, which of course contributes to a better environment, as no material is added to future waste.
E-Dry® is available both for distribution and for special applications up to 36 kV. The insulation material used is class F and/or H, which guarantees high temperature resistance and space-saving dimensions.
Compared to a cast-resin insulated transformer, which also has a low proportion of combustible material, an E-Dry® has up to ten times less combustible material. This can create significant savings on construction costs by reducing the need for fire resistance.
